Michael Schumacher is one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time. The German won 91 GPs and 155 podiums over his illustrious career. He holds the joint record for the most World Championships with Lewis Hamilton as well. Undoubtedly a star in his own right.
He ultimately retired from F1 after the end of the 2012 season. Unfortunately, he suffered a major accident and endured a serious injury to the head.
Mick Schumacher has since come on to the F1 scene. The young driver performed superbly in the lower circuits. His graduation to F1 was on merit. Nevertheless, he came up with very heavy baggage around his neck.
To be the son of F1’s greatest legends brings its own merits and demerits. Regardless, Mick has been a fan of his father.
In a recently released documentary about Michael, Mick said “I think dad and me, we would understand each other in a different way now. We would have had much more to talk about and that is where my head is most of the time, thinking that would be so cool.
“I would give up everything just for that. These moments that I believe many people have with their parents are no longer present, or to a lesser extent,“ he said.
As Mick won his first points in F1 at Silverstone in July 2022, he made a touching speech dedicated to his dad.
He said, “They’ve been brilliant guys, unbelievably brilliant. Prove them wrong and believe in yourself, that’s what I told dad.”

Mick’s love and admiration for his dad is a beautiful sight. While he can’t have Michael come to his races and be by his side, he would still feel very lucky to have him in his life.
Mick Schumacher has made fans emotional with his latest show of love
In one of Mick’s recent expressions for dad, Michael, he has brought tears to fans’ eyes. They absolutely love the dad-son relationship the Schumachers share.
F1 drivers have to give personal information, which is then shown on the broadcast as snippets for fans. While other drivers had generic/expected responses, Mick’s answer for ‘Hero’ showed his love for his father.
Here are some of the reactions fans had on the same.
