The name Schumacher carries weight like no other in the world of racing. The son of former 7-time world champion Michael Schumacher is now making his mark in the world of F1.

However, this was not the name Mick always raced under as he tried to conceal his legendary last name. The driver revealed that at the beginning of his racing journey, the German raced under his mother’s maiden name; Betsch. He then proceeded to enter races under the name Mick Junior. In a recent video with Haas, he revealed that “Junior” is actually his middle name!

However, as he made his way through the ranks, there was no hiding his roots. Mick, now in his second season in the sport, races under his father’s name. However, fans have been reeling from the shock of discovering the 2020 F2 champion’s middle name.
