The ever-changing and evolving sport of Formula 1 is fickle in terms of the teams and drivers on the grid. However, drivers like Michael Schumacher have left an everlasting mark. Yet, what people might soon forget is the German’s first team in F1. Why? Because the Lawrence Stroll-led Aston Martin team is soon going to erase all physical signs of the team.

Michael Schumacher represented Jordan Grand Prix, a team active from 1991 to 2005, for only one race. However, the team gave the young and promising German his debut in the premier class, nonetheless. After 2005, the team changed a couple of names until it became Force India. A Lawrence Stroll-led consortium acquired the team in 2019 and was rebranded to Racing Point, which later became Aston Martin.

Throughout the history of all these teams, the base reminded the factory back in Silverstone. However, billionaire Lawrence stroll decided to bring the factory up to date with his investment.

Aston Martin’s official YouTube page released a video on the factory’s progress. Guy Austin, project manager for the Aston Martin facility even explained what will happen to the old Jordan section.

“Well, since we moved into Building One [the new factory], we’re going to knock this over next summer,” he revealed. “We’re going to replace it with a new building. — We’re going to have — quite a large space for logistics with all the flyaway races we have these days.”

The talented German got his debut with Jordan mid-season at the Belgian Grand Prix. However, the German wasn’t impressed with the car and wanted a switch immediately, as reported by Race.

After the weekend, with the help of his agent, the German made moves to switch to Benetton, a team he originally wanted to test with. By Wednesday afternoon, the future world champion had tested for the team and signed a contract. This scenario limited his history with Jordan for one race in Spa. Talk about a go-getter attitude.
