One of the greatest friendships that we have seen in Formula One is between Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel. Both think highly of each other and used to praise each other whenever the opportunity arises.
There was immense respect between the two, and an old video that has recently resurfaced only reinforces that. Speaking in an interview sometime before 2013, the seven-time world champion explained how his countryman is a worthy titleholder. And if there was anyone in the world of Formula One who could break the countless records Schumacher set, Vettel was the top contender.

Schumacher had faith that Vettel could go on and break records in the sport.
He said, “Great job, very consistent look at his teammate, that is your reference point you got to take. I mean, he won all those races thirteen this year, I think. Mark Webber, he won none in the end if I am right, that is pretty shocking.
“Glad I am not his teammate.”
“But, definitely, he is the world’s true champion, and I am really happy for him. If somebody can break all these records, then I prefer him to be than somebody else,” Schumacher explained.

Vettel and Schumacher were great friends, and now, with Michael’s son Mick on the gird, Vettel is guiding the young German in his first year. He hopes to help him wherever he can, but can understand that every car is different.
As quoted by ESPN, Vettel said, “I am obviously friends with his father and his father is my hero. We get along really well and I’m happy to help with stuff that maybe I can help with. In the driving sense it’s always difficult, every car is different and every environment is different.”
With a few more races left this season, Vettel hopes to help Schumacher Jr in his rookie year and wishes to see him become a better driver on the grid for next season.
