Discussions on the future of Sebastian Vettel in Ferrari F1 is as of now all the rage. Many Italian media sources have indicated that the German is not interested in prolonging his partnership with Ferrari. And he has rejected yet another proposition from Ferrari F1.

This guarantees that the gossip factories are running at max throttle. Adding fuel to this fire former Williams F1 driver and Michael Schumacher’s brother Ralf says that Vettel should be open to a new challenge elsewhere.

In an interview with Sky F1, he said, ”Does he want to drive for a championship or is he going to build something new. McLaren is currently working hard and could be a great project for Vettel. However, they are far from the top. With the engine change in 2021, that’s quite a risk and Vettel might be better off staying at Ferrari”

Ferrari is going through a tricky phase, Sebastian Vettel should make the most of it

Ralf was talking about Ferrari’s performance in the past years with the addition of a young driver, Charles Leclerc in the mix. He feels that this is a transition period for Ferrari and Vettel should make the most of it.

Last year was not an optimal season for Sebastian, but Ferrari is just going through a tricky phase and you have to make the most of it. A one-year contract should therefore not be a problem for Vettel. Certainly not at the time of this crisis”

Ralf Schumacher himself never drove for Ferrari, yet he saw his sibling driving there. Ralf Schumacher has won six Grands Prix and was on the podium 27 times. He started his career in Michael’s old team Jordan F1 and moved to Williams F1 in 1999. Finally, he made a switch to Toyota F1 and had his last race in 2007.
