‘Phone me in nine years’ – these were the golden words that started the butterfly effect which turned the Formula 1 world upside-down for over a decade. After winning the British Karting Championship at the young age of 10, Lewis Hamilton was off to collect influential contacts at the award ceremony that could one day land him the dream of racing at the top of the world.
While growing up, Hamilton wanted to do everything that his idol, Ayrton Senna did, and like any ambitious kid, he decided to do the most sensible thing. After his father pointed to Ron Dennis, the man Ayrton Senna drove for during their glory days, the young sensation already knew that he was the man he had to impress.

Although Hamilton’s run of dominance has come to a startling halt, there was Deja Vu from his fateful encounter with Ron Dennis after Toto Wolff was seen in a video making a similar commitment to a young guest who had come to meet the Mercedes Team Principal!
