It’s official! Max Verstappen is the champion of the world. For the third time, consecutively, he has done it, he is unreachable. The 2023 season has been a smooth sailing for Verstappen. Unlike his previous titles, there was no battle this time. Max Verstappen was a force to reckon with. We can only begin to think about the atrocious amount of space those trophies would take.
A man who can sympathize with Verstappen is Lewis Hamilton. Up until 2021, Hamilton was in his dominating spirits, breaking every record possible. With 103 wins to his name, where did all the clinking trophies go? Not on a fridge hopefully.

Unlike the Red Bull office, which had to get a new cabinet to store all the trophies, Max Verstappen props them up anywhere he likes, anywhere he finds space. “I’ve got one on my fridge next to the simulator,” he said. During his stream, fans noticed something gold, a little shiny thing on his mini fridge. Turns out, it was his WDC-22 trophy. Many found it laughably audacious that the world champion had propped his trophy up on a fridge as if it were a pizza box. What about his other trophies?

“And one in my kind of like closet, next to the TV,” Verstappen said. He was on a roll this year. With the most consecutive wins in Formula 1 history, determining an appropriate space for the trophies must have been a ‘hard’ task. But Max Verstappen had help. “Most of them are in my living room. My mom has a few, my dad has a few.”
Verstappen is a three-time world champion now. However, all his titles have come to him in quite an unconventional manner. From the last lap in Abu Dhabi in 2021, to a penalty for Charles Leclerc in Suzuka confirming Verstappen’s ownership over the title in 2022, to winning it much more seamlessly, but in a sprint race on a Saturday. On where he would keep his latest achievement, he replied, “I’m sure I have a little bit more space. So, yeah, we’ll have a look.”
Just like him, Lewis Hamilton has an eclectic collection of trophies. From the most wins in F1 history, to the most poles, to the most podiums, one can only imagine, the silverware that has gathered in his house, in all these years.

Lewis Hamilton is a decorated name. After all, he is the seven-time world champion. He has amassed a hefty load of prizes. Where does he keep it all? Not at his home, but in storage. “I don’t actually have any racing trophies at home – they’re all in storage! In fact, if you came to my house, you wouldn’t even know I was a racing driver,” he said.
Hamilton, just like Max gets some help from his dad. He said in an interview, “My dad has a few trophies on show because he’s very proud and likes to show his friends.” The reasoning behind the lack of trophies in his house – “For me, home is about getting away from that world. When you’re in the public eye, being able to have the most normal home is so important; it helps you stay centered.”
