‘No guts no glory, no legend no story’ – a quote that was a testament to Lewis Hamilton’s flourishing Formula 1 career with Mercedes. 2013 onwards, he played a mightily important role in resurrecting the Silver Arrows along with Toto Wolff. They scripted a fairytale comeback only to be later routed through by Max Verstappen and Co. As they attempt to scale the championship mountain again, Hamilton has given a rousing message to charge his team up.
It has been an absolute rotter of F1 seasons for the 7-time champ since the mortifying loss at the 2021 Abu Dhabi GP. Yet, the love that his fans aka the LH army have for him knows no bounds. They have supported him throughout his highs and lows with Mercedes. To extend this wave of enthusiasm for a stellar comeback, Hamilton has issued a stern wake-up call to the Brackley Outfit.

Hamilton told in an interview with M4 Sport, “As you get older, you get more and more aware of the importance of your brain and your mind. Then also to be centered, fit, and healthy. Otherwise, I am super hungry. I have got a great group of fans around the world that travel and support me. We’re on this journey together. We can’t give up now when we’re so close.”
Can Mercedes translate the faith that Hamilton and his fans have in the team’s capabilities into better car performance? Looking at their Team Principal’s statement, one could say so.

Toto Wolff echoes Lewis Hamilton as Mercedes buckles up for strong finish in 2023
Compared to the absolutely atrocious 2022 season, this year has been a considerable step up for the Silver Arrows. Still, it hasn’t been good enough for trumping Max Verstappen and Co. After Hamilton’s handwriting on the wall, Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff too has set high targets for the 2nd half of 2023.
“It’s good to get back to work. The summer break is important for everyone to take some well-deserved time off, but we’re racers and we love the thrill of competition,” Wolff told Sky Sports. We return recharged and ready for the second half of the season. There is plenty to fight for and we won’t be letting up. We will push hard in the battle for second in the constructors’ championship.”
