Wherever there is an opportunity to do good, you will likely spot Sebastian Vettel in the mix. The retired F1 legend was in Austria to participate in the charitable Kitz Charity Trophy race. The race raises funds to donate to farming families in need. Celebrating its 25th edition, the race ended up raising $327,000. The four-time world champion also participated in the skiing race along with the likes of Michael Fassbender. However, it was his cameo with some F1 household names that caught the attention of many.

Vettel was in the Austrian mountains living his life post-retirement, when he ran into old pals from the grid. The Mercedes duo of Toto Wolff and George Russell with their better halves. Susie and Toto Wolff hosted Russell and his girlfriend in their home country during the winter break. However, they had no idea even Vettel would be participating in the charity race.

Russell’s post on Instagram of photos from the eventful day revealed this coincidence. He posted a photo from Austria with the snowy mountains in the background and even made the boss pose for a photo. However, the biggest surprise of the five-photo Instagram carousel was Vettel’s appearance in the third photo in his full skiing gear. Russell tried to be cheeky with the post’s caption as he tried to hide the surprise visit.

The caption read, “In the land of the Wolffs🐺🇦🇹. Such a cool experience attending Kitzbühel Downhill for the first time. Awesome weekend learning more about such a challenging sport and even bumped into a familiar face too⛷️ 🙌”f1
