Many people would be wondering if the Max Verstappen wave is about to crash or not. Think twice! Max, after clinching his third straight title, isn’t hitting the brakes. Forecasting in the world of F1 can be tricky – just ask any weatherman at Silverstone. But here’s a little forecast – don’t bet against Max Verstappen and the Red Bull team for a while. While Ferrari and Mercedes are probably using GPS to locate their lost magic, Verstappen and the Red Bull crew are out doing victory laps, potentially with their eyes set on the 2024 and 2025 titles. And that is surely on top of what Lewis Hamilton thinks 2024 will do for the Silver Arrows. Here’s the scoop, Hamilton, ever the perfectionist, voiced his concerns at the Qatar GP. He lamented, “Everyone’s unhappy with where we are… I know they’re hungry.”

Yes, Mercedes is buzzing with the right noises of determination, but the gulf they need to bridge seems more like a yawning chasm. Title contenders next year? Let’s not flutter too soon. But here’s the scoop: Verstappen’s magic, as hypnotic as it is on the tracks, has an expiration date. No one’s pulling endless bunnies from F1 helmets, right? Or can Verstappen?

One thing’s for sure, Red Bull ain’t the type to kick back with a piña colada on the beach. They’ll be pushing the envelope, moving those goalposts further and further. So, Lewis and the gang better start sprinting! Answering the question of “How Long will Verstappen’s F1 dominance last?” for The Race, Glenn Freeman believes “Red Bull won’t stand still, so the goalposts will keep moving.”

But hey, every party’s got to end at some point, right? With the law of diminishing returns lurking around the F1 track, it’s unlikely Max and his Red Bull mates will keep hogging the top step. We’re crossing our fingers to see others pop some champagne on the podium from next year onwards.

Alright, F1 fans, brace yourselves – Mercedes is revving up for a major 2024 comeback! And much of that gusto is fueled by the highly-anticipated W15. The only thing remains to be seen: Can it hold its own against the Dutch Dynamo?

And just to add to the Hamilton love, he was all praises for the team after his factory visit: “I think what excites me is just going into where the aerodynamicists, the whole team, they’re working away. That’s what inspires me… Everyone’s unhappy with where we are and where we’ve been for the past couple of years.”

“I know they’re hungry and that, for me, I’m like, ‘OK, these guys I know they’re chasing, they’re doing absolutely everything they can’. So I have 100 percent faith in them and they’ll put it together.”
