If you’re an avid F1 or LH fan, by now it’s quite clear what Ayrton Senna means to Lewis Hamilton. The former McLaren legend not only inspired but also influenced Hamilton fluently to become an F1 driver. However, his recent revelation also showcases how much Lewis Hamilton values his father, Anthony Hamilton.
During a press event, Hamilton talked about his father, as he stated, “For me there’s two people who inspired me. My father, who was always my hero. Seeing him get up every day and really work. His work ethic is something that I adapted and that’s what I have used today.”
Hamilton’s honest revelation not only showcases how hard-working Anthony Hamilton is but also shows how much he sacrificed so that his son could become what he wants. That level of determination takes immense self-sacrifice from a parent’s life, which is why Anthony Hamilton is not only his son’s inspiration but should also be an inspiration for others.

Moreover, considering that Anthony Hamilton also had to raise Nicolas Hamilton, who suffers from cerebral palsy, he is arguably F1’s greatest father ever. Life clearly wasn’t easy for him at any point, but he never gave up! Thankfully, he and his family received a well-deserved reward.
However, Hamilton didn’t stop right there, as he also talked about his favorite F1 icon. He further added, “And then it was Ayrton Senna for me. I think I was four or five years old when I started watching him. And it felt like he showed me what is possible”.
The presence of such influential father figures in his childhood tells us what and how Lewis Hamilton shaped into the person he is today. The entire Hamilton family is truly an inspirational one!
