More than just an F1 driver, Lewis Hamilton excels in many aspects of life. The Brit has dipped his toes in movies and entertainment. He has become a part-owner, invested in startups, and last but not least, is a fashion influencer. The Brit proved that again ahead of the 2023 Las Vegas GP.
Apart from being the face of Mercedes, Hamilton also owns his own brand called Plus44. However, the merchandise he donned at a Plus44 pop-up in Vegas showcased the brand’s latest collaboration. It’s not a new partnership, but one we’ve grown to love for the brilliant outcomes.

Takashi Murakami is a legendary and celebrated Japanese contemporary artist. Hamilton clearly respects him a lot with the Plus44 x Murakami collection being their second collaboration. The first was obviously the beautiful helmet for the 2023 Japanese GP. So ahead of the Las Vegas GP, Hamilton made an appearance at the Wynn Hotel for the Plus44 x Takashi Murakami pop-up.

The Brit showed up donning a Fast Trip pit crew jacket from the collection worth $200. However, to complete the look, Hamilton added an extra $1845 worth of accessories. According to the Instagram post, Hamilton wore Port Tanger Sabea sunglasses worth $310. The Brit wore subtle Maison Valentino pearls and a Swarovski choker worth a cool $790. He paired that with Chrome hearts jeans and Off-White x Timberland boots worth $745.
However, do you know why he spends the money that he does on his clothes and jewelry? Or why does Hamilton have a brand of his own and collaborates with only one artist? It’s because of a simple need!

The need to wear a certain piece of clothing and dress up in extravagant clothes all comes from a simple desire to express oneself. At least that’s what the Brit believes. According to Hamilton, fashion is all about self-expression.
“For me, fashion is about freeing yourself—it’s about self-expression; it’s about you; it’s about slowly, over time, evolving and learning more about yourself and what you like and how you want to show up—how you want to be seen. What makes you feel great? It’s a great feeling when you put on a piece of clothing and throw your shoulders back and are just like: I feel great today,” explained Hamilton.
