One can only imagine how devastated Lewis Hamilton would’ve been after losing the 2021 championship to Max Verstappen. It was his chance to win the record-breaking 8th championship and overtake Michael Schumacher in the history book. Verstappen and Hamilton went motor racing and the Dutchman came out on top. However, Lewis Hamilton didn’t stop believing and came back the next season to fight back.

However, former F1 team owner Eddie Jordan believes that Hamilton no longer has it in himself to win a championship. With Max Verstappen dominating Red Bull, the only way for Hamilton to win is if everything goes his way. Mercedes hasn’t been able to provide a competitive car and it looks unlikely that the Red Bull will be dethroned.

Lawrence Baretto advised that the major details of the contract including the duration and compensation have been decided as Hamilton and Toto Wolff have shaken hands on it. Just the finer details remain before it is officially signed.

The duration is believed to be 2 years. Toto Wolff was asked by a Sky’s Children telecast reporter about Hamilton’s contract duration when the Mercedes CEO whispered 2 years in the kid’s ear. Looks like Hamilton hasn’t given up on the 8th title yet.
