There is so much happening in the world of Formula 1 that it feels like it’s been a lifetime since we talked about the F1 movie. However, when something as big as a $140 million movie starring Brad Pitt becomes a part of F1, it can never truly be out of discussion. This is exactly why during an interview regarding his watch collaborations, Lewis Hamilton also gave us a quick update on the highly anticipated movie project. However, this is not a positive update, as the Brit confessed to being in a state of limbo after securing the project.

The Mercedes man has actively started diversifying his portfolio and looking at life after F1. Launched in October 2022, Dawn Apollo Films, the name of Hamilton’s production house, secured the Apple F1 movie project. It is no surprise the film is part of his production house because of the nature of the film and Hamilton’s achievement in the sport.

Regardless, after the F1 project, Hamilton will want to continue investing in movies and making Dawn Apollo a thriving business. However, in an exclusive with Watch Pro, the Brit confessed he’s in a state of limbo.

“I want to create something, so I started the production company and with the first movie, I went in high casting Brad Pitt. I don’t know where we go from here but I’m reading scripts and working with amazing people. The whole thing is very surreal and something I’m crazy excited about,” said Hamilton.

The Brit has never been a man of one talent. His current list of investments and business is a testament to that. Even though Hamilton would not want to appear on the big screen himself, he has always had an inclination toward the entertainment industry. However, opening a production house wasn’t an overnight decision, and the Brit revealed the hard work he put into making his passion a business in his comments in the past.

“I spent like last six years, five years probably in Los Angeles, having meetings with a lot of different production companies. Trying to get a better understanding of the background or what’s happening, you know how to go about putting together a movie. Brad [Pitt] is the star, and it’s been an honor to meet and engage with him,” revealed Hamilton.

“And Joseph Kosinski, for example, did an amazing movie, the Top Gun. We’re working together. My role is to try to make sure that it’s the best racing movie ever been created,” added the F1 film producer.
