Nicolas Hamilton, Lewis Hamilton’s half brother has launched a social media challenge to help raise money for NHS workers. Hamilton is the paternal stepbrother of six-time Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton.

In the video, Nic commended the work of healthcare professionals and urged everyone to support the NHS. He proposed a ‘One Step at a Time’ challenge. Nic will emulate Hamilton’s 151 F1 podiums by walking up and down the stairs 151 times.

He said, ” My brother is my hero, he started from nothing to be a six-time world champion”

“What I’m going to do is emulate his 151 podiums by walking up these steps 151 times”

Nic’s condition makes it very hard for the driver to walk well and stairs are a particular challenge for the Brit driver. Nic is doing this challenge in association with the NHS and all donations made will go to the NHS healthcare workers.

 

Lewis Hamilton’s efforts the WHO to raise money for healthcare workers

Today, Lewis also posted about his tie-up with the WHO and Global Citizen to help raise money for healthcare workers worldwide. He will be joining the ‘One World: Together At Home’ event on 18th April.

Nicolas Hamilton is an English racing driver who right now contends in the British Touring Car Championship. He is driving for the Rokit Racing with Team Hard. In addition, he has driven for ‘AMD Tuning’ and ‘Motorbase Performance’ teams.

Born in 1992 the driver suffers from cerebral paralysis from birth. Therefore, he races with a uniquely designed vehicle because of his cerebral paralysis. Hamilton made his racing debut in the Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom in 2011. He was driving for the ‘Total Control Racing’ team with a special car. Despite finishing last in his first race he attracted a lot of public and media attention.

Additionally, His first season in motorsport was the topic of a BBC documentary ‘Racing with the Hamiltons: Nic in the Driving Seat’.
