Lewis Hamilton arrived at the Emilia Romagna GP dressed up like Adam Driver from the Ferrari movie, where he played Enzo Ferrari’s role. Even before Hamilton had officially made the move to Ferrari, he was being hailed by the Tifosi on their own. Now, the 7X champ turned his Ferrari homecoming into an ultimate betrayal for Toto Wolff. But how?

As Lewis Hamilton arrived at the Imola GP, he was greeted by fans holding posters of him in a Ferrari suit. Others had posters with Leclerc, Hamilton, and Newey in a frying pan with Frederic Vasseur as the chef, indicating that the Ferrari Team Principal is going to cook with the three at Ferrari. One person had a poster with Hamilton, Leclerc, and Vasseur’s faces edited onto the Pope Catholic Church poster, depicting them as Jesus, Mary, and the Pope.

Enough proof that the Tifosi are eagerly awaiting the 7X champ to officially move to Ferrari and have accepted the Briton. Now, it was time for Lewis Hamilton to return the favor to the Tifosi, and he did so in the most absurd manner, turning the greeting into an ultimate betrayal for Toto Wolff. Hamilton is contracted with Mercedes until the end of the season, yet he went on to greet the Ferrari fans.

In a video that has surfaced on social media, Lewis Hamilton can be seen getting out of his garage and climbing the pit wall to greet the Ferrari fans, who were eagerly waiting to get a glimpse of their 2025 driver. Some were holding the posters mentioned above, while others held the Ferrari flag flying high. What about the Toto Wolff betrayal? Hamilton did all this in front of the Mercedes garage.

Regardless, Lewis Hamilton has time and time again reiterated the fact that he still has the current season left with Mercedes and is focusing on that currently. This was showcased in his post-race comments, where he talked about the steps Mercedes took with the upgrades.

Mercedes brought a small upgrade to the Imola GP in comparison to Ferrari, which bought a major package. Some even suggest the package brought so many changes to the car that they called it the SF24 Evo. McLaren, on the other hand, brought a major upgrade to Miami. The upgrades for the Papaya Team and the Scuderia have put Red Bull in their grasp. Mercedes, on the other hand, improved as well, but their improvement was masked by their competitors finding more performance than them.

Speaking after the Imola GP, Lewis Hamilton said, “We’ve taken a small step forward this weekend and we have improved. Unfortunately, that is slightly masked by the step forward others such as McLaren and Ferrari have taken. We will keep pushing to bring more updates that can add performance. Until then, we will make sure we are scoring as many points as we can.”

Looking at Ferrari’s developments and comparing it to Mercedes, do you think Hamilton made the right move?
