Mercedes has been taking their own sweet time in announcing the contract extension for Lewis Hamilton. The Briton and the German powerhouse have been together for the past 7 years, and it is likely that they will extend the relationship.
However, the official confirmation of the same is still due. The Mercedes twitter page is raging with lively banter around the topic.
A few days ago it had pranked its followers by releasing a tweet with the pretense of Hamilton’s contract extension. But all the tweet had was Roscoe getting into the team. With the season inching closer to its end, the fans ask only one question. When?

Even the Twitter handle tweeted earlier today, “#AnnounceRomain”. The tweet outlines the angst behind the fans’ longing to unearth the Mercedes mystery driver for 2021.

Almost all the teams have announced their drivers. Racing Point, Ferrari, McLaren, Renault, and Haas; however, the Germans have not even hinted at a probable Lewis Hamilton substitute if the Briton opts out.

Mercedes are going through a complete rejig. Rumors suggest that key members like Toto Wolff and Andy Cowell are looking to hang their gloves up for good.
Thus the Briton undergoes a natural loss of trust. However, does it surpass his desire to win more races in the best car on the grid?
