Say what you will, the life of the paddock Daniel Ricciardo will be sorely missed. That is, if he doesn’t secure a driver for 2023, which, according to him, is the plan. Although, the Australian will not be holidaying despite his plans of taking a gap year from Formula 1.

The Australian plans to make his return to the grid in 2024 so he will actively be working on his return. As of life away from the sport, the Honey Badger is an entrepreneur. Ricciardo owns a clothing brand called RIC3, which is a chic leisure clothing brand.

We’ve already seen George Russell sporting Ricciardo’s merchandise in the paddock. However, recently Mercedes boss Toto Wolff surprised the world when he was spotted wearing $110 RIC3’s Enchante sweatshirt. The Mercedes boss’s photo went viral on Twitter and now it’s become a joke between Ricciardo and Wolff.

During a post-race interview, Ricciardo spotted Wolff approaching and questioned him from afar, “Where’s my merch?”

Wolff climbed the interview deck and revealed their collaboration. “Yeah, I’m promoting his merchandise. Honestly, I like it. It’s just they took a photo with some stupid glasses on me and then put it online,” said Toto.

“But for the sweatshirts, I’m going to wear overnight,” added Wolff, to which Ricciardo replied, “I’ll send you some more.”

It’s always nice to receive gifts, especially if they’re as stylish as Ricciardo’s merch. Safe to say, even away from F1, the Australian will be keeping busy, especially when he’s not preparing for his return. A return, however, might not be a possibility, according to a former world champion.
