Lately, things for Mick Schumacher have not been going his way in his F1 career. The constant debate about his seat at Haas for next year finally came to an end. Haas recently announced Nico Hulkenberg would take Mick’s seat the next year.
Aside from the Schumacher fans, a lot of people from the F1 community have also raised various questions regarding Haas’ decision to let go of Mick Schumacher. Considering his consistent improvements in driving skills and the upward growth in his performances, the decision seemed unfair.

A lot of F1 drivers and team principals spoke up against the decision. However, this did not change young Schumacher’s fate, unfortunately. One such team boss who believes this wasn’t the right move, was Mercedes man, Toto Wolff.
Toto Wolff has been in admiration of Schumacher and his performances in recent times. Schumacher even led a race back in Japan this year for a brief period, which was a substantial growth for the young German.
Toto Wolff has always considered the Schumacher family a part of Mercedes, as he claims that they’d always “belong” to the Silver Arrows.
Reports claim Toto stated that Mick deserves to be on the grid and he’d look into how he could be of help to him. He said, “I believe Mick would have deserved a seat for next year. Now we have to see what we can do. I think his priority was to get a seat on the grid. That did not happen yet. There is one seat available. Let‘s see.”
Toto Wolff further delved into the Schumacher matter in another interview where he shared how he truly feels about the Schumacher family.
Toto Wolff shared his thoughts about Mick Schumacher and his family
With the way things have been unraveling for the German boy, many believe this was rather uncalled for. Toto Wolff has been sharing his thoughts on the subject as he, too, wishes to see the rising star on the grid next year.
In a recent interview, Toto said, “I don’t know what the status is with Mick and Haas. But I make no secret of the fact that the Schumacher family belongs to Mercedes and that we value Mick very much.”
“But first of all, it should be about Mick getting a regular cockpit,” he said in conclusion.

On the other hand, disappointed with the way Mick’s driving career in F1 is going forward, many suggested Mick move on to a different series just so he can still continue driving.
To this, Mick responded, saying, “It’s hard to forget Formula 1. I love it too much, so I won’t do that. Everyone always has an opinion on everything. I care about the opinions of the people I care about.”
