George Russell and Fernando Alonso. Do you guys find any similarities between them? One is a clever old fox while the other has instinctive killer-like skills. The one common thing, however, is that both of them have had Lewis Hamilton as their teammate. The Spaniard and the Briton repeated their last year’s antics once again this year to send the fans into a frenzy. But what were they doing?

The F1 season is over and the holidays are here. Arguably, it is the only time the drivers get to relax and spend time away from the track competing with the other 19 fastest drivers. The Brit celebrated Christmas with his girlfriend, Carmen Mundt, back at home, whereas the Spaniard was spotted Karting in his academy. Yet, George Russell and Fernando Alonso decided that they’d been away for way too long and decided to meet up. 

And what better to meet up than to celebrate the New Year together? And it wasn’t the first time the duo had done it. After the 2022 season ended, Russell and Alonso were spotted celebrating the 2023 New Year together as pictures of them partying hard surfaced on the internet. The duo was seen clicking pictures with some New Year’s props. 

George Russell recently uploaded the 2024 New Year’s pictures on his Instagram. It seems as if the duo tried to recreate the pictures from 2023. However, there was a slight difference. This time around, Russell’s girlfriend, Carmen Mundt, made it into the picture. Yet, Alonso being Alonso didn’t let go of the prop and continued to get the picture clicked with it. The caption to the post was “NYE Celebrations” followed by the dancing emoji.

Knowing Fernando Alonso and his infamous victory celebrations, we were sure he must’ve taught the Brit some dance moves for his future wins. Russell has been an admirer of Alonso since the early Formula days and it’s wholesome to see them celebrate New Year’s Eve together once again. The photos were sure to send the fans into a frenzy, and so they did.

The photos uploaded by George Russell acted like a time bomb that set Social Media on fire within seconds of them being posted. Fans across the globe were sent into madness after realizing that Alonso and Russell were back together partying on New Year’s Eve. Many advised on how Fernando is actually George’s boyfriend while others just cherished the fact that the duo was together once again.
