Many people had doubts about Lewis Hamilton before his first race in F1. However, most of their doubts were quashed in the very first corner of his maiden race. Lewis finished on the podium and announced his arrival at the pinnacle of motorsports.
However, people do not understand just how demanding and exhausting an F1 race can be. A driver needs to be on top of his game all the time and maintain his concentration to avoid any mishaps. Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton explained what it feels like after completing a race.
Hamilton said, “Well the races are really demanding, they’re just exhausting.” He further stated, “Most of the time it’s mostly mentally you’re just you’re just empty, you want to catch your breath because you just feel tired within your body you feel emotionally drained.”
He further added, “Sometimes it’s a really good race so the adrenaline of the excitement of the success overcomes that. Other times, you’ve just had a tough race and you want to use the rest of the energy, conserve it because you have media and all those different commitments.”
“So yeah, there’s definitely no appreciation for what we do, but it is what it is I don’t really care.”

Former F1 driver claims Mercedes have more chances of winning with Lewis Hamilton than George Russell
After enduring a tough season, Mercedes finally seem to have the wind in their sails. Lewis Hamilton bagged back-to-back podiums and looked like challenging Red Bull for the first time all season. Moreover, former F1 driver Jolyon Parmer believes Mercedes have more chances of winning with Lewis Hamilton than George Russell.
The former Renault driver said, “I imagine George will close it out, just by sheer numbers. There’s only two races left and if he just manages to keep this consistency, he’ll be there. But I think that doesn’t really tell the picture of the Mercedes story.”
