Updates! From the Silver Arrows’ to now McLaren F1, everybody has jumped on the opportunity to present the dynamic updates fans awaited.
The Woking team has been arguably a little inconsistent with their performances. A right setup has awarded them with podium and points, however, they’ve also suffered a lot this season.

Spanish GP might see a severe front row change. Fans have waited a long while for Mercedes to compete at the front again, which might happen again if the upgrades are fruitful. Team Ferrari has been in news regarding flooring updates and weight reduction. The Maranello team’s package will reportedly provide them with three-tenths to four-tenths of pace advantage.
McLaren upgrades might help them compete with Red Bull and Ferrari
McLaren‘s updates reportedly will make the MCL-36 half a second faster! This touch-up might bring them closer to Red Bull and Ferrari and possibly compete for race wins. The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is mostly corners with one very long straight. Understandably, aerodynamics will play a huge role in the corners, with downforce being a key factor to get right.

Red Bull has also reportedly gone for a rear wing change, including some weight reduction. However, the question of who will be the fastest still remains. Fans have wanted a three-way or even a four-way title fight for the longest time. And with McLaren’s updates, they might be able to give the fans what they want to see.

Drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris will certainly benefit from the changes. Ricciardo was even nostalgic of the track being promising for McLaren back during the pre-season testing.
The Aussie was hopeful of the car being rewarded again and said, “We performed well at this track in pre-season testing, so it will be interesting to see how our car will perform with the upgrades we’ve made since then. Hopefully, we can have some good battles and get both cars back into the fight for good points.”

Ricciardo and Norris did not have the best run in Miami. The duo failed to score any points as Ricciardo finished P13 and Norris was involved in a late crash. Moreover, The Honey Badger has struggled with the car since the beginning of the season. In the five races, The Australian has scored just 11 points till now.
