Woking-based outfit McLaren has been pretty vocal when it comes to issues that affect our everyday life. The team’s CEO, Zak Brown, has spoken about donating the race helmet of their drivers Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo to bring awareness towards an illness.

The Barrow Neurological Institute is hosting an auction at Barret Jackson. McLaren will be contributing to the auction by giving the helmets worn by either Ricciardo or Norris along with their signature.

Barret Jackson is organizing an auction for the Barrow Neurological Institute. The Papaya team will also contribute to the auction by donating the helmets worn by their drivers, as well as their autographs.

How did the McLaren duo perform in the 2021 season?

The Australian driver had a disappointing season, and his triumph at Monza was the only high point of his first year with the Woking-based outfit. The Australian finished the season in eighth place in the standings with 115 points.

Norris’ season in 2021 was most likely his best. The previous year, he had only one podium finish. The 22-year-old had four podiums and one pole position during the 2021 season. He finished sixth in the driver’s championship with 160 points.
