In recent interviews, Dr. Marko has communicated his high regard for the McLaren man. In fact, he saw Norris as the perfect driver for Red Bull in the future, especially after his British GP heroics. However, in his communication of this gratitude, Marko also pointed out how Norris would fit into the system mostly as a support to Max. The Brit is definitely not second-driver material, even if it’s against mighty Max Verstappen. In fact, everyone at McLaren, including Norris, believes he’s best placed to achieve his goals.

While speaking to the media, Brown promised even Norris could foresee himself opening his F1 race winner account. Brown said, “Lando is ready to win. But I think he now sees signs that it’s coming. We keep him very in the know of everything that’s going on.”

There is a lot of hope and high expectations but will McLaren be able to deliver and stop this Verstappen onslaught? Highly unlikely! However, one can never discount any scenario in this fickle sport.
