Remember the time all of us were glued to our Twitch accounts watching our favorite celebrities get obliterated in Esports by 12-year-olds? Many Formula 1 were also part of the movement, Lando Norris being one. But if you are part of the chronically online community of the internet, you know exceptionally well, everything gets clipped. And the internet is already flooded with a thousand apology videos. But what clip compelled Norris to issue an apology to Max Fewtrell?

McLaren F1 posted a YouTube video with their drivers titled ‘Who’s most likely to?’ The question posed, “Who is most likely to forget their best friend’s birthday?” Oscar Piastri was quick to throw Norris under the bus. A confused Briton retorted, “What do you mean?” But Piastri wasn’t playing around. He came in with receipts. He threw it back to Norris’ stream in 2021 where his best friend, Max Fewtrell, asks him about his birthday.

During the stream, the McLaren driver scrambles – 12th of April, 11th June, 16th of June! Poor Norris sat under Fewtrell, threatening him with a bottle of juice. Being reminded of the stream, Norris responded in the video, Sorry Max.We hope Max Fewtrell can bring himself to forgive his best mate.

Norris became the first McLaren driver since Jenson Button to score 4 consecutive podiums. However, his win account remains static, with total victories still at 0. Closing in on the unfortunate record of Nick Heidfeld, Norris, in Damon Hill’s words, is due a win.

However, Norris feels that the remaining tracks do not play with MCL60’s strengths, therefore, expecting a win would be ambitious. But he has a reputation for downplaying his skills and abilities. With a mega drive in Qatar for the two McLaren drivers and Piastri stealing the win from Max Verstappen, hopes are at an all-time high for the Papaya Army.
