Lando Norris has many times been regarded as a future world champion. Many believe him to be Lewis Hamilton’s successor in a similar way that Sebastian Vettel continued Michael Schumacher’s legacy. Yet Lando Norris bowed to Max Verstappen’s robotic supremacy and gave Lewis Hamilton a cold shoulder. Why did Norris do this? What did he say about Max Verstappen’s supremacy?

Lando Norris was full of praise for Lewis Hamilton in a recent interview. The McLaren driver explained his relationship with the 7X champion. Norris expressed how he respects Hamilton a lot and how the 38-year-old has been like an inspirational figure for him. He explained how the Dutchman is one of the best drivers in F1 and it’s impossible to beat him with ease.

According to F1maximaal.nl, when asked if he was as fast as Verstappen, Norris said, “I’d like to believe that, but it’s hard to say. I’m not so confident as to say yes, easy. I think this is impossible. I don’t think anyone can ever say: I can easily beat Max. That is impossible. Max is one of the best drivers ever in Formula 1. Even if he wins, be glad you got to witness it. Because I don’t think there are many people who can do the same.”
