Following Lando Norris’ Honest Confession Around Max Verstappen, Helmut Marko Reveals Dutchman’s “Fear” in 8-Word Warning to Red Bull

Lando Norris last year was rumored to replace Sergio Perez at one point in time. The Brit even said himself that he’d like to be Max Verstappen’s teammate and compete against him in the same car. After winning the Miami GP and partying with the Dutchman at Club E11EVEN, Lando Norris made an honest confession on the dynamic between the duo. And now, Helmut Marko has revealed Verstappen’s Norris fear. 

Lando Norris and Max Verstappen have been very good friends, given they compete alongside each other in the most cut-throat sport in the world. Both of them are great friends with Martin Garriz and enjoy partying. Clips from the post-Miami GP show Verstappen and Norris celebrating the Brit’s maiden win together. And once the things settled down. Norris was recently asked about the dynamics between him and the 3x world champion, and how it might change if Norris continues to take wins off Verstappen.

Lando Norris made an honest confession about the same and suggested that the dynamic will definitely change. However, not in a bad way. He explained how he’s not best friends with Max Verstappen and what they share is mutual respect for each other. Following this statement, Helmut Marko came out and warned Verstappen with 8 words on how despite being good friends with the Brit, “Lando will become even more of a threat”.

According to OE24, as Marko explained the Norris-Verstappen relationship, he said, “Max maintains a very friendly relationship with Norris. He often takes him with him on the planes, and they often meet up for SIM racing. Max seems to be able to learn something from Norris while partying.” Talking about Norris being a challenge on track, he added, “But now it is feared that Lando will become even more dangerous to him on the track. Because the pressure is off now.”

The McLaren upgrades seem to be working very well, as the Papaya team looks very close to the Red Bull’s pace. But unlike McLaren, Red Bull has not brought such significant upgrades yet this year. Regardless, Lando Norris is ready to stand on the top step again after he posted a fiery message for others after winning the Miami GP.

Lando Norris’ driving caliber has never been questioned. The Brit has been considered as championship material ever since he made it to the sport. It was just about providing the right tools to the artist. Now that Norris has it, he’ll make it difficult for Verstappen to run away with the championship, unless Red Bull can find additional performance from its upgrades. Norris wrote a heartfelt message to his fans, but had a feisty ending to it, warning the other drivers that it’s just the start for him, as if he’s conveying that more wins are incoming.

Lando Norris on his Instagram Story after winning the Miami GP posted, “Genuinely had the most insane couple days of my life. Still don’t know what to say but this was a dream since I was a kid. I literally haven’t stopped smiling since lap 33… So much hard work to achieve this and it all finally paid off. The support from all my team, the McLaren Papaya fans, other drivers and so so many more, I’ve appreciated every single little bit of it. Love you all. And after all of this, we’re just getting started….”
