Mclaren’s are among one of the top teams in Formula 1. The British motorsport racing team is the second most successful team after Ferrari. Being the second oldest active team, the team enjoys a wide fan base. This morning Mclaren welcomed a very special gift from a 14-year-old boy.

Mclaren has two super talented drivers, which led to a massive fan following. From time to time, the British racing team receives unique surprises from their fans. Just a week before, the Papaya family received a collection of artwork from their fans and now ahead of US Grand Prix they got an F1 car made of cardboard, which blown the minds of the entire team.

14-year-old Beckett Raftus shaped a cardboard into an F1 car. Now this shows the love and admiration the Mclaren receives from their fans. In a twitter video shared by Mclaren F1. The whole Papaya family seemed awestruck with the creativity this 14 year kid manifested.

Lando Norris is seen asking the kid, “How do you come up with shapes like these.” Whereas Daniel Ricciardo appreciated Raftus invention saying “that’s so cool.” The McLaren’s drivers then autographed the cardboard car which looked a ‘replica‘ of the real one.

Whether attending this special gift or spending brother moments together, both the Mclaren’s drivers are often seen seen together. The papaya duo has always been vocal on each other, and now the Honey Bader thinks that ignorance has become bliss for the young kid.

Daniel Ricciardo believes Ignorance is Bliss for teammate Lando Norris

Lando Norris has completely overshadowed the Australian driver. Earlier, many experts believed that Ricciardo having a vast experience will be outshining the Belgian-British racer but the actual scenario is different. Norris is currently at P7, 72 points ahead of teammate Daniel Ricciardo. The disappointment of two consecutive seasons led the Honey Badger contract to end a year early.

The Perth based driver has explained his rough season and the factors which are in favor of his young teammate. He said during an interview with race, “I’ll put it down to two things, One, I’ll never take credit away from him the kid’s good. There’s no denying that. The second is, ignorance is bliss. And I’m not saying he’s got no knowledge of race cars, not at all. I think he’s quite actually in tune with what he does, from a technical point of view.”

He further added how ignorance is a bliss for the 22 yer old, “But ultimately, he hasn’t been behind the wheel of another car. So obviously, he’s good. And there’s an element of ‘ignorance is bliss’.”
