Zak Brown is not only a businessman but also a motorhead, and becoming CEO of McLaren Racing is part of his love for motor vehicles. However, the McLaren F1 CEO again proved his love for cars and motors at the latest Indycar Acura GP.

The McLaren boss recently visited the Indycar race at Long Beach to support his team. However, Brown came in a classic 1972 Ford Condor II Motorcoach. He bought this vintage RV last year from Bring-a-Trailer for $32,500. Further, Brown spent a lot on the motorhome to get it on the streets again.

Brown shared his thrill for the Ford RV as it has been to many races in the past. So we learned a lot about history through ‘The Condor’ itself. This motorhome has been to the Long Beach Formula 1 Grand Prix, Indycar races, and championships like IMSA and CAN-AM.” The McLaren boss said, It’s just a great piece of history. If these walls could talk…”

Zak Brown is an enthusiast for cars and especially the classic ones. He even owns the Dale Earnhardt Sr.’s 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, which he lent to Daniel Ricciardo last season. In a bet, the boss man let Ricciardo take the car for a spin at COTA as a reward for his iconic podium at Monza. 

McLaren Boss promised Mario Andretti an F1 car drive

The 12-time F1 race winner Mario Andretti was among the massive crowd of celebrities that visited the inaugural Miami GP. Brown promised Andretti to give him an early generation McLaren challenger to drive ahead of the US Grand Prix.

Brown tweeted, Struck a deal with Mario to tick something off his bucket list – he’ll be driving a previous McLaren F1 race car at this year’s US GP in Austin.”

The Italian-born driver had one of the most glorious motorsport careers. He is one of the two drivers to win races in F1, Indycar, NASCAR, and the World Sportscar Championship. The 1978 F1 world champion drove for teams like Ferrari, Lotus, and even Alfa Romeo but never drove a McLaren.

The 82-year-old will soon drive a McLaren car at the Circuit of The Americas. However, Zak Brown didn’t reveal which monocoque he will loan to the American. Undoubtedly, it would be fascinating to see one of F1’s biggest names behind the wheel of a McLaren tub.
