The Italian Grand Prix was a special weekend for the McLaren team as they finished 1-2 in the race. It was their best result since the 2010 Canadian Grand Prix. To make the memory and the moment permanent, McLaren CEO Zak Brown has tattooed the Monza circuit on his arm.

Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff challenged Brown to get a tattoo last year. But he had not found a good reason to do and also mentioned that he had a fear of needles.

The American took to social media to flaunt his new ink, and it looks amazing.

Sometimes you have to face your greatest fears: Zak Brown

As reported by GPFans, the American mentioned in the press conference why he decided to get a tattoo despite his fear of needles. He also stated that he thought the idea of getting the tattoo would be fun.

“Sometimes you have to face your greatest fears, which I’ve done,” said Brown.

Brown revealed where he got the idea of getting a tattoo. “It actually came about through the Grand Prix Trust with Sky, where a team boss gets nominated each year to do something that terrifies them.

Toto nominated me last year. Needles sufficiently terrify me. So in trying to think through what would be kind of fun and genuine – i.e. properly terrifying – I came up with the idea of getting a tattoo.

Then obviously, given that Daniel is a fan of tattoos, and with him winning recently, I thought maybe we can tie the two together and have him come to visit and hold my hand – and it hurt!” said Brown.
