The Las Vegas Grand Prix is coming up, and for most people, it can’t come soon enough. The excitement for this historic race weekend is palpable, with teams planning special events for the weekend. Ferrari has already announced a special livery for the weekend, and other teams are following suit as well.

For McLaren, the Las Vegas Grand Prix is more than just a celebration of the iconic location. In fact, this season marks the 60th anniversary of the Woking-based team. Throughout this year, they had partnered up with several other companies like Jack Daniel’s and Bowers and Wilkins for several special events. Now, just ahead of the Vegas race, they’re conducting a Metro Boomin’ concert.

This special concert, titled Metro Boomin’ and Friends, is all set to take place on the 16th of November. General admission is free, and the location of the concert will be disclosed after registration via email. McLaren took to their Instagram to put up a story of the concert’s poster as the Vegas race inches closer, happening next week.

Remarkably, the $121 million whiskey giant collaborated with the Hip Hop artist to release limited edition tee-shirts as part of the celebration. “Redesigning the legendary Jack Daniel’s label T-shirt has been a thrilling creative journey,” said Metro Boomin. “Infusing my personal touch into this iconic brand has been inspiring, and I’m excited to unveil the result.”

This is not the first Metro Boomin’ concert that McLaren has helped organize this year. Earlier, they conducted one other concert at the Austin GP weekend. They have also continued their partnership with Bowers and Wilkins as well. The two companies collaborated to launch the Zeppelin McLaren 60th anniversary-edition wireless speakers. The headphones are available for purchase at $899.

Speaking about the headphones, McLaren’s chief of sales and marketing, George Biggs said, “Both brands share a relentless commitment to pushing boundaries, be it in automotive engineering or audio excellence. Now, fans of both brands can extend the renowned audio experience from our cars to the home.”

McLaren would hope to add to their 60th anniversary celebrations with a win on the Vegas GP. While it may look unrealistic with Red Bull’s supremacy, the papaya team knows Las Vegas may be an outlier and an unknown. Thus, they can catch Red Bull napping, if things go right with their resurgent pace.

Looking Ahead for the Papaya team

Throughout the second part of the season, McLaren has done a wonderful job. From tussling for a single point, the driver pairing of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris have come together to score some much-needed podiums, a sprint victory, and a lot of points for the English team.

The team would hope to continue the form that they’re in, with a real possibility of finishing on the top step. Of course, it wouldn’t be easy for them, considering the purple patch that Max Verstappen and his RB-19 are in currently.
