If there is anything that tempts Formula One fans to watch the Netflix series, ‘Drive to Survive’, it’s the interesting behind-the-scene clips. And on that front, much like the other three seasons, the latest season didn’t disappoint the fans. Here’s something interesting that Nikita Mazepin revealed about Lewis Hamilton that happened prior to the final race weekend in Abu Dhabi.
It is quite obvious that the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was one of the most intense race weekends of all time, considering what was at stake. Championship rivals, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, were level on points heading into the weekend and fans were equally enthusiastic about the finale.
Thousands of Dutch fans swarmed to Yas Marina Circuit to lend their support to the home hero, Verstappen. There were an equal number of Hamilton fans too. Well, quite interestingly, Mazepin found himself caught amongst the bitterness that existed within the rivalry.

One might straightaway assume that the girl was probably Dutch. However, here’s the twist; Mazepin further reckoned that the girl was English.
“Yesterday, a girl came up to me, and she was like, ‘Can you please crash into Lewis for me?’ And she’s English,” the Russian driver said in the 10th episode of the latest season. Well, in the end, Mazepin wasn’t needed after all as an untimely Nicholas Latifi crash followed by wreckage caused by Michael Masi made sure that Hamilton can’t hold onto his eighth championship trophy.
