A lot of videos of press conferences before the Singapore Grand Prix featured a pretty emotional Vettel that admitted to feeling a little sad about driving these tracks for the last time. An empathetic live audience showed immense support for their racing hero.
Even ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix, fans greeted Vettel, and they had much more to share than just words. Some put in effort and work to make him little farewell gifts. A fan brought Vettel a squeaky Duck ring in an Aston Martin outfit and he also put together a little gift – a mini car for his children.
To this, Vettel smiled and said, “Maybe I have more children?” As the man broke out in childlike laughter, Vettel, still smiling, said, “I’m not sure. I need to speak to my wife.”
As the Aston Martin star continued to sign autographs and said his goodbyes, Twitter is a mess and cannot deal with the thought of his absence from the sport.
Twitter is Emotional That Sebastian Vettel is Leaving F1
Twitter has been choking up time and again as it hits them that these are the last races where we’d see Sebastian Vettel speeding on the tracks. Soon, Vettel will be off the grid for good and many are finding it extremely hard to cope.
The way I love Japanese fans. They’re so passionate and creative. Every time we return to Japan I am impressed by the outfits, gifts and whatnot they’ve created. 🙏
