The stars aligned perfectly for Kevin Magnussen as he took his first-ever pole position in F1. In what was a superb turn of events, the Dane beat everyone on the grid to start tomorrow’s sprint in P1. However, he also had Mercedes driver George Russell to thank for his triumph. The Briton spun into the gravel and the qualifying session was red-flagged.

There will be mixed feelings in the Mercedes camp after Russell spun into the gravel. While he secured P3 for tomorrow’s sprint, his teammate Lewis Hamilton will start the race from P8. Often known as the epitome of consistency, fans believe Mr. Saturday Russell managed to get the job done by hook or by crook.

Many fans pointed out Russell’s crooked ‘conspiracy’ to earn a P3 finish for tomorrow. Moreover, fans also sarcastically praised the Mercedes driver for stopping Max Verstappen and Red Bull from getting pole position.

Furthermore, fans praised George for putting Haas on the pole.

Additionally, some fans thought Russell had enough of the W13 and wanted to bury it as quickly as possible.
