Max Verstappen became the Formula One world champion in 2021 for the first time. The Red Bull driver beat Lewis Hamilton in the season finale in a dramatic fashion. According to a recent fan poll, Verstappen is the most popular driver in Formula One currently.

It is reported that the demand for the merchandise of the Dutch driver went through the roof after his world championship win. Interestingly, there were many complaints from Max’s fans about the delay in the order fulfillment.

Max Verstappen fans are not happy with the Red Bull driver’s merchandise

The fan shop revealed that they were expecting high demand after the Abu Dhabi season finale, but the numbers were much higher than anticipated. They gave out an explanation for the delays in the orders for the merchandise to the fans.

“The demand was much higher than we could have predicted and hoped for. That same Sunday we therefore immediately switched gears, with the thought of ultimately not having to disappoint any fans.” said the Max Verstappen fan shop.

It is understandable that the fan shop did not want to disappoint Max Verstappen fans after the race in Abu Dhabi. But it is unacceptable that they decided to focus on quantity over quality. There is no explanation for handing out poor quality T-shirts and merchandise to his most devoted fans.

There is a lot of demand for the Dutch driver’s merchandise since the season finale. The fan shop will need to come up with a better plan to meet the demands of the fans and produce better quality merchandise.

It would also be interesting to hear the views of Max Verstappen on this matter. The Red Bull driver will surely not be happy with the complaints by his passionate Dutch army. Hopefully, the matter gets resolved very soon.
