Max Verstappen dominated his way through to his second win of the season at Abu Dhabi. The Red Bull driver snatched the pole from Mercedes in his last lap on Saturday. On Sunday, he led every lap from the start and closed the season with an emphatic win.

Red Bull essentially did everything right this weekend; Verstappen claimed the 10th race win of his career. Mercedes wasn’t at their usual best, with Valtteri Bottas finishing at P2 and Hamilton being able to manage just a P3 finish after his comeback.

He said, “To be honest before I got here I didn’t expect to win the race and be on pole. Of course I also read that they had to turn the engines down a bit, so that’s not helping for them. In general I think still the car performed very strong and better than expected, so of course very happy with that.
