Today Formula 1 teams were greeted by a wet track at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The 2nd day of the second pre-season testing saw a lot of drivers make mistakes and endure the gravel trap. Max Verstappen was one of the drivers who weren’t able to keep his car on the wet curbs on Turn 5.
Valtteri Bottas did the same mistake a few minutes before and slid across the gravel trap. Whereas the Dutchman had his rear wheels stuck in the gravel. Resulting in the second red flag of the morning.
Sebastian Vettel and Antonio Giovinazzi also went off the track limits during the day. Vettel went off the track on Turn 5 and Giovinazzi hit the barriers after going off track.

After the session, Max admitted that the spin was his own fault. As he missed to see the damp patch on the drying track.
Verstappen said, “I tried to use a bit too much road. I didn’t see the damp patch so that was the issue.”
He added, “It was a bit of a shame about the weather. We couldn’t really run as much as we wanted to but it is the same for everyone. Overall it was a positive day, we seemed to be working well.
