Prior to the main race in Singapore, Max’s family, along with his girlfriend, were seen joyously celebrating his 25th birthday at a table in the Red Bull hospitality area. Max, along with his manager, Raymond Vermeulen, was accompanied by his father, Jos Verstappen, his girlfriend, Kelly, Grandma- Marianne, and his aunt Gerda.

Max‘s aunt told Telegraaf, “This had been planned for a while and then it’s Max’s birthday and he can become world champion. We don’t see him that often, of course, because he has a very busy schedule. It is very special to experience this all together.”
Max’s Grand mum continued to share fun tidbits about a little Max who’d always crack jokes, as grandmas always do! She went on to talk about the race in Abu Dhabi.
Getting emotional, she said, “You see, when we talk about it (2021 Abu Dhabi GP), I have tears in my eyes again. I had already given up, but then the safety car came. Then we knew: now he has a chance.” (Translated using Google)
