The never-ending banter sessions between Toto Wolff and Max Verstappen have become a new source of entertainment. On one hand, the Mercedes boss is adamantly pursuing Max, while the latter is simply bypassing the appeals. This is no less than an enthralling rom-com! However, the two parties do not sit at the same table for now. The Red Bull star wants to focus on his current stint, but Wolff is constantly planning for the future. Moreover, the question remains: Can Max and Toto unite someday?

Recently, the Mercedes boss openly swanked about his team’s plans and current position. He emphasized the unrest in Max’s team. “I thought all year that there was a possibility. Let me put it this way: the chance was not zero,” Toto proudly declared. Moreover, the 52-year-old strongly feels he and Max could be on the same page in the future. And that is when the Dutchman will move to Mercedes and enhance the team.

However, the Red Bull giant doesn’t reciprocate the same emotions as Toto Wolff. Sending a rather cheeky message to the head of the Silver Arrows, Max has tried to clear his stance. “Toto and I have a good relationship and he’s open with what’s happening in his team, driver lineup, and stuff, there’s nothing wrong with that. But at the same time, I just focus on my job, there’s a lot to do anyway, so yeah, we just focus on that.”

Once again, placing his loyalty to the energy drink brand on the frontline, Max Verstappen has explained his aim to be nothing but titles and Red Bull!

It looks like it will take more than just simple convincing to bring Max Verstappen to the Brackley HQ. Wolff isn’t ready to budge from his motive, and neither is the elite racer ready to stray away from his choices. However, it’ll be interesting to see how long this game of imbalanced ping-pong continues before they give up on each other or the colossal transfer truly happens.

While Mercedes struggled in the qualifying sessions of the 2024 Dutch Grand Prix, Red Bull’s journey was a story of redemption. However, the result isn’t particularly likable for Max Verstappen. The Flying Dutchman is highly competitive, and he didn’t want P2. Especially in Zandvoort, Max wanted a better outcome. Moreover, his predictions are gradually turning into reality.

During the driver’s press conference earlier this week, Max had shared his doubts regarding the Dutch GP. Max Verstappen expects a tougher challenge at the 2024 Dutch Grand Prix compared to last year. He acknowledged that “many more teams” could win, and though he has dominated since 2021, he’s less confident now.

The 3x world champion said: “I’m not coming into this weekend saying that we’re going to win the race.” Instead, he’s focused on improving the car and learning from recent races. Recently, Max Verstappen has emphasized the improvement of the RB20 and his performance rather than winning.

Max Verstappen’s sole focus and dedication is nothing but Red Bull. Fighting all odds, the Dutch powerhouse is running the show for the Austrian team. As of now, Toto must keep aside his desire to bring the 26-year-old to Mercedes. Maybe 2028 could be his year, who knows?
