Max Verstappen wrote something to F1 pundit Tom Coronel after his crash with Lewis Hamilton at Silverstone in 2021. The two had clashed all year long, creating one of the most dramatic seasons in a while. The rival camps fought viciously, as drivers, fans, and everyone picked sides between Team Verstappen and Team Hamilton.

The pot boiled for several fans as Hamilton took the lead from Verstappen in Britain. The driver clipped Verstappen’s rear right tire, and the Dutchman went flying into the barrier. Verstappen had crashed at a speed of 180mph at Copse Corner, leaving the medical staff running him to the hospital for precautionary checks.

As reported by Coronel, while Max was at the hospital, he wrote this in a message to him, “Cannot cope with the pressure that guy hahaha. Don’t worry Tommy, we’re gonna beat him this year (about Hamilton). “

While the F1 world stood divided as to who was responsible, Coronel pointed something out. Surprised, he revealed, “I have Max on the WhatsApp, when he was on his way to the hospital from Silverstone. I tell you he never complained he was pushed out, never. He just said Tommy don’t worry we will catch him.”

The F1 pundit apparently received this message from Verstappen within an hour of his Silverstone crash.

Clearly, the Dutch Lion, personifying his nickname, was least bothered by the crash. Though Hamilton won the race, Verstappen ultimately managed to beat him overall.

The 2022 season, however, has been a comparatively easy ride for Verstappen. The Dutchman is fresh off his win in Montreal and has won the most races this season. He has remained unbothered by Mercedes and Hamilton throughout, with only a short-term wheel-to-wheel challenge presented by Hamilton in Canada.
