When Ford recently hosted their Performance Season Launch, Jim Farley had a few words to say about the company joining forces with Red Bull in 2026. Farley seemed excited to talk about the collaboration as he stated, “We have the best drivers, we get the best technical support, we have the best of Ford around the globe to support them.” And when Farley said they have the best drivers, he meant Max Verstappen as Sergio Perez’s contract ends this year.

Farley also discusses the new team that is coming up in Milton Keynes and says that they are working on a “top-notch” Powertrains team. He added, “We are going first class to the very top of the podium.” The confidence that Farley has in Red Bull is commendable. Considering Verstappen being at the team of his career, it looks like Red Bull will have no problem with podium finishes for the next couple of years.

Although things will change with regulations in 2026, Farley is confident that with the support from Ford, the team has a bright future. Red Bull has had no problem dominating F1 in the last couple of years, even through all the issues they had while finding an engine. The current supplier for Red Bull is Honda and their contract is ending in 2025. This gave way for Ford to jump back into F1 after 2004.

Mark Rushbrook’s take on Ford’s Partnership with Red Bull
