Max Verstappen had a dream season in Formula One in 2021. He won 10 races, had a record 18 podiums, and edged out Lewis Hamilton to win his first world championship. But not everything went in the Dutch driver’s favor.
The Red Bull driver had given his pre-season predictions for the 2021 season. After its completion, one of Verstappen’s predictions was way off, while others just about right. In his prediction for ‘most surprising thing that will happen in 2021’, Max wrote,” Haas winning a race. Almost.” Max too laughed at his prediction as the Haas team did not even score a point this season.

Max Verstappen praises his new teammate Sergio Perez
As reported by F1i.com, the Red Bull had a new teammate going into the 2021 season, Sergio Perez. Although the Mexican struggled to match Max’s pace throughout the season, he played a huge role in helping Verstappen win the title.
“I think without Checo I wouldn’t be sitting here right now because then they would have had a pit gap with the Safety Car and stuff, so definitely Checo was driving incredibly,” said Max.

Verstappen was wary of Perez going into the season as he had not driven with Perez before the 2021 season. “Of course, when we started working together, it’s difficult to know exactly how it’s going to work out.
But… Checo is an amazing human being. Not only just to work with in F1 but a super nice person, a real family man as well, and yes, I really have a lot of good times with him and you can see he really means it, and he means well,” said Max.
