When Max Verstappen fell short of qualifying at Jeddah Corniche Circuit, Checo stood up for the team and how. However, a sore sight from the parc ferme celebrations, where Jos Verstappen was seen giving Sergio Perez a cold shoulder, became the talk of the town. However, Max Verstappen has come out in his defense.
Jos Verstappen has always had the reputation of being a strict man not accepting anything apart from a win. And the day Verstappen didn’t win, F1 Twitter scrutinized the man’s movement. From noticing him not congratulating Perez to not being very warm to his own son. However, according to Motorsports, Max has now come out to justify the man’s actions. He said, “Obviously, my father is my biggest fan. I don’t like to lose and neither does my father. That’s how we grew up, but they always show the wrong pictures of course.”

Max explained, “Look: ‘Checo’ [Perez] gets out of the car and wants to celebrate with his mechanics, which is quite normal. But another father does not belong to that party, of course. Therefore, my father did not get in there. “

“I think something like that is completely normal, even if some people don’t see it that way. But that’s OK, so those people just don’t see it that way.” Adding that he wasn’t bothered by the social media’s reaction, he said, “At the end of the day, we have to focus on ourselves and not on what the Twitter community thinks.”
While Max has justified senior Verstappen’s actions, the latter has always been known to treat Max in a brutal and strict manner.

Jos said, “People say how a bad father I was to him to abuse your child,” he said. “I never abused him. I was hard on him, that mistake, and that was also my plan on that to learn. To think. A lot of people have no idea what you have to do to arrive at the top of a sport.”
