Max Verstappen Gets Surprise Support From Lewis Hamilton Amid “Robbed Title” Battle With the Media

There has been some drama brewing between the world-famous media platform, Sky sports, and the Red Bull golden boy, Max Verstappen. A few words were said that didn’t bode well with the Dutchman and he went on to boycott the said platform. In light of recent events, Silver arrows man, Lewis Hamilton, backs up his rival in the ongoing ordeal.

On the race day, back in Austin for the US Grand Prix, broadcaster, Ted Kravitz stated that the seven-time champion, Lewis Hamilton, was robbed of his 8th F1 win on his show. This didn’t go down well with the Dutchman, justifiably so, according to many.

In a recent interview, post the race at the Mexican Grand Prix, when the bi-champion was asked about his reasons to boycott the platform, he said, “At the moment, social media is a very toxic place. And if you are constantly being like that, live on TV, you make it only worse instead of trying to make it better in the world.”

“You keep disrespecting me, and one point I’m not tolerating it anymore, so that’s why I decided to stop answering,” he concluded.

Mercedes’ star, Lewis Hamilton, weighed in on the subject. He backed up, Verstappen, as he said, “Yeah, I think social media is getting more and more toxic as the years go on. I think we should probably get off it, ultimately. Mental health is such a prominent thing right now. I know so many people reading their comments and the stuff that people say and it is hurtful.”

Lewis Hamilton has always been an advocate of mental health awareness. He agreed that the ‘toxic’ culture of the media can be extremely ‘hurtful.’

Ted Kravitz blatantly takes down Max Verstappen

Sky sports broadcaster, Ted Kravitz didn’t attempt to filter his thoughts whilst commenting on the events that went down at the Circuit of Americas. Max swooped in and bagged the win in Austin and Ted had a little something to say about how things unraveled.

Back in Austin following Max’s win, Ted took the opportunity to share his thoughts on the win on his platform. He said, “[Hamilton] gets robbed, comes back, his next year’s car is rubbish. Doesn’t win a race all year, and then finally comes back at a track where he could win the first race all year, battling the same guy who won the race he was robbed in the previous year, and manages to finish ahead of him.”

“What a script and a story that would have been. But that’s not the way the script turned out, was it?”
