The last race weekend before we head into the summer break has served up quite a surprise for Max Verstappen. Verstappen is comfortably leading the championship with 63 points over second-placed Charles Leclerc. With such a lead, the Dutchman should be able to race with no pressure.
However, at the Hungarian GP, the unreliability issues from the start of the season knocked on Red Bull’s door once again. Verstappen started the Q3 on fresh tires, but soon after his first flying lap, Verstappen’s RB18 started facing issues. The flying lap, which only took him seventh fastest in Q3, turned out to be Verstappen’s last flying lap of the session.

We could hear an annoyed Verstappen complaining throughout the Q3 session about his engine. He was heard saying, “I have no power.”
An increasingly frustrated Verstappen lashed out on the radio, saying, “For f**ks sake. Nothing works. Try to fix this issue.”
However, the issue was not fixable, at least not in time for the qualifying session. The seventh fastest did not stick around for too long and the Dutchman will start the Hungarian GP from P10.
