Is Max Verstappen one of the biggest brands in F1? Definitely yes. The Flying Dutchman stamped his authority on the sport after winning his first ever championship in 2o21. Many would argue that he isn’t the first one to do so. So, what’s so special about the reigning world champion?

Winning a championship is one thing, but dethroning a seven-time world champion in the last lap of a title-deciding race is a different ball game altogether. In Lewis Hamilton’s remarkable career, there haven’t been a lot of drivers who have pushed him to the limit and got the better of him, eventually.

Max Verstappen’s splendid performances have turned him into a global brand. This is the reason why companies are fighting amongst themselves to get his signature. Viaplay, a media company, was able to make the Dutchman their ambassador earlier this year. They have now been able to expand their long-term, multi-market partnership with Max.

This means their logo will be visible on Max’s helmet from the Singapore GP onwards. The Dutchman will also feature in additional exclusive content for Viaplay viewers. After the immense success of the two original documentaries ‘Verstappen – Lion Unleashed’ and `Master of the Track’, the Orange Army will be eagerly waiting for the next one.

Max Verstappen, voicing his excitement about the deal, said, “I am delighted to have extended my partnership with Viaplay. So far, working together has been very enjoyable and I am looking forward to creating more high-quality content together for all the Formula 1 fan.”

As we all know, streaming is the new way of broadcasting and I feel Viaplay is doing a great job at shaping this future,” Max added.

Max Verstappen mathematically can win his second championship in Singapore. If he wants to do that, he will have to beat Charles Leclerc by 22 points, Sergio Perez by 13 points, and George Russell by just 6 points. But Max has decided to stay in the moment.

It would be great to see Max win the championship at the Singapore GP. But don’t you guys think a driver winning a championship 5 races before the end of the season will be detrimental to F1 as a sport?
