The starting grid of the Hungarian GP might’ve been unusual, but the outcome was inevitable. Max Verstappen took the race’s lead in the first corner and never looked back. However, the incredible record-breaking 12th race win in a row was made more memorable by Lando Norris. Norris put in an incredible performance finishing behind Verstappen for the second race in a row. However, the Brit did cause some damage to Verstappen with his antics, not during, but right after the race. Now, Red Bull is seeking retribution of a mere $13.50 for Norris’s act.

The ecstatic McLaren man was on the podium again in Hungary and got the opportunity to do his iconic champagne spray once again. Similar to Silverstone, Norris’s patent move knocked Verstappen’s winner trophy off the top step of the podium. However, in Hungary, Norris did some damage.

As seen on F1’s official Instagram account, the beautiful vase-style trophy sustained some damage thanks to Norris’s antics. McLaren apologized to the race winner, but that won’t be enough. Red Bull demanded some glue for the trophy’s broken top, which will set them back about 13 dollars in any American retail store.

A small price to pay to fix a trophy which costs around a whopping $45,000. Let’s just say Red Bull is letting Norris off easy.

There is clearly no bad blood between the two friends as they were seen laughing about the incident moments later. However, the fans are concerned.

Fans wonder if the broken trophy of Max Verstappen will be replaced

The Hungarian GP trophy is unique, as it is a handmade trophy with unique customization. The customization features a shoutout to the Barbie movie starring Margo Robbie. The unique trophy for Max Verstappen and Co. also is also a moment for a record-breaking race win.

However, now Norris’s antics have caused damage to the trophy, which made the fans wonder if there is a replacement available. The fans are also left wondering if the trophy is insured. In fact, some took to Twitter to joke Norris is Oppenheimer, the destroyer of trophies.

Some fans even suggested the Brit might be banned from doing this celebration or at least receive a warning after the incident. We are not sure how seriously the FIA will look into this, but let’s they will not ban Norris’s iconic celebration.
