Formula One is geared up to race in the Saudi Arabia GP in Jeddah. F1 has called the circuit the fastest street circuit in the sport. The track has high-speed corners and with 27 corners, it has the most for any circuit. Former F1 driver and Sky Sports pundit Martin Brundle mentions that most of the corners on the track aren’t even corners for an F1 car.

Brundle took to social media to express his views on the latest and newest circuit on the F1 calendar.

“The New Jeddah F1 track is going to significantly reward the brave and accurate. Multiple series of very high-speed corners between walls where there’ll absolutely be no small accidents. 27 turns of which about 14 will be recognized by an F1 car, but there’s peril everywhere.” said Brundle.

“We head to Saudi Arabia for their first race where the track looks insane from I’ve seen. It’s hugely fast and the first sector is like Suzuka, but with walls! It is going to be a massive challenge and I’m sure there will be plenty of excitement and drama.

We will be watching the Formula 2 race very carefully. On paper, it looks like a power-sensitive circuit, so you’d say that tends to favor Mercedes and it looks as though they feel that way too, but you just don’t know.” said Horner.

Since the track is new, it is uncharted territory for everyone. It has fast corners and long straights which will favor the German team. But Red Bull has been the team to beat on street circuits this season, so they could spring a surprise.
