And former F1 world champion Mario Andretti believes that there is still a lot to derive from the American market.

Mario Andretti reveals the importance of having an American team in F1
As reported by GPFans, many have reported that Mario’s son Michael has an interest in buying a team in F1. He mentioned it would be amazing for the sport to have an American team race in America in the coming years.
He revealed that there is a lot of awareness about the sport in the country right now. Mario revealed he is proud of his son for trying to introduce an American team in F1.

“All of these elements have been working and probably, I think in so many ways, the Formula 1 fanbase in America is somewhat underestimated and that is a good thing because a lot of it has been awakened,” said Andretti.
“We want to be a part of it as an American team. We want to be able to contribute and grow beyond that area as well with Formula 1. My son Michael, it is his ultimate goal, his most ambitious one, and why not? I am proud of him. He is not afraid to tackle it,” said Mario.
