Earlier in the season, Sebastian Vettel was linked to fill in for Lance Stroll when the Canadian had a massive cycling accident. And now Daniel Ricciardo’s return is being speculated. The F1 community just cannot get enough of these Former Red Bull drivers. With the Austrian GP around the corner, Sergio Perez skips his Media duties as fans come up with theories of their own. Why isn’t Checo attending to the Media duties?
Sergio Perez has hit a big performance roadblock ever since announcing his challenge for the title. After a wonderful start to the season, Perez hasn’t been anywhere near the front since the podium in Miami. Checo has failed to reach Q3 in the last three races despite being in the quickest car. As a result, many speculations are being made including ones that suggest Checo might lose his seat if he doesn’t perform. Daniel Ricciardo is the one linked to the seat.
The teams and drivers are all in Austria for this weekend’s race at the Red Bull Ring. With Austria being Red Bull’s home race, Sergio Perez would be looking to get out of the slump and rejuvenate his chances. However, the Mexican couldn’t have asked for a worse start to the weekend. According to Speedcafe, Checo hasn’t been feeling well since last night and will be resting the whole day to make sure he’s at his best for the race weekend. As a result, he will not be able to fulfill his media duties on Thursday.
